Driving Public Health Awareness: BE Sponsors AMSA-UPM Diabetes Run for the Second Consecutive Year

BE believes that a successful business should also serve as a guardian of public well-being. With lifestyle diseases continuing to rise, grassroots health initiatives are more important than ever.

This year, we are proud to continue our mission as the Diamond Sponsor for the AMSA-UPM Diabetes Run Day 2026, supporting the Asian Medical Students’ Association (AMSA) of the University of Putra Malaysia (UPM) in organizing this great event.

A Legacy of Enduring Support: From Diamond Sponsor in 2025 to Now

True impact comes from consistency. Following our successful partnership in 2025, BE has renewed its top-tier sponsorship to help ensure the success of this meaningful health campaign and reach even more participants.

By continuing to stand alongside AMSA-UPM, we reaffirm our commitment to student-led health advocacy and to the long-term mission of combating chronic diseases in Malaysia.

The Essence of Our Mission: Why We Advocate for Diabetes Awareness?

Diabetes, a leading non-communicable disease (NCD) in Malaysia, is known as a “silent epidemic” that affects not only the patients but also their families and the nation’s entire healthcare system. Managing it requires more than just medical treatment; it demands continuous education, awareness, and support to encourage an active and healthy lifestyle.

BE Leaders Share Their Career Journeys with Participants

The event attracted nearly 1,310 participants and featured a 5km and 7km run, free health screenings, a comprehensive health exhibition, a charity bazaar, live music performances, and a variety of family-friendly activities.

In addition, BE’s Royal Crown Council Ambassadors (RCCA) were present to share their personal career journeys, engage with students, and inspire the younger generation.

In today’s rapidly changing world, university students need to be well prepared to face an uncertain future. RCCA Lee Siow Mei and RCCA Elaiyakumaran are both university graduates who navigated challenging early career phases. Through their choices and perseverance, they eventually grew into impactful leaders. Drawing from their personal experiences and insights, they engaged in meaningful conversations with participants, ensuring students walked away with valuable takeaways.

Through these efforts, BE ensures that participants leave not only with the accomplishment of earning a medal but also with valuable insights that can positively impact their lives.

Looking Ahead: Building a Healthier Future Together

At BE, our involvement in the AMSA-UPM Diabetes Run is more than just a sponsorship; it is a testament to our core values. By combining the physical challenge of the run with the insights of professional leadership, we aim to nurture a community that is healthy in both body and mind.

As we move forward, BE remains dedicated to championing public health and empowering the next generation of leaders to build a stronger, more resilient future for all.
